In Hain, showing at Fotografiska from 22 Aug 2024, artist Lukas Städler shines a different light on the gay cruising spots of Berlin. Through intimate, calm and sensitive photographs, he narrates fleeting encounters that take place between the public and the hidden. As part of the Long Night of Museums, together with curator Ingo Taubhorn, he will unpack what interested him in the culture of gay cruising spots and what photography can do to break old stereotypes.
