No moderation. And not a single well-considered decision. Step into ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska, the hyper-visual universe of TOILETPAPER that offers a joyful, satirical journey through the unexpected.

“It’s like being invited to the best party of your life, where everyone is wildly intoxicated and you’re the only sober person in the room,”
TOILETPAPER founders Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari describe the experience.

TOILETPAPER Magazine, founded in 2010 by artist Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari, was the Italian creative duo’s response to the conservative art world. TOILETPAPER became known for its provocative images, where a cheerful design inspired by advertising meets dark satire and social commentary. Refusal to be tamed by the digital age is essential to their creative process. Every prop is meticulously handcrafted in their Milan studio – no digital tricks, no AI-generated manipulation.

ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska transforms art into an immersive, three-dimensional experience with the intention to disrupt, question, and provoke. Including a pool filled with thousands of fake bananas. One thing is certain: TOILETPAPER provides no clues or explanations, instead encouraging you to uncover your own meaning.

“We always strive to break away from the usual conventions and create a raw and personal dialogue between the viewer and the art. The exhibition at Fotografiska is full of hidden Easter eggs, images with invisible connections that we leave to the viewer to find,”
says Pierpaolo Ferrari about the exhibition.

ToiletFotoPaperGrafiska invites you to embrace the absurd and the extraordinary, immersing yourself in a world that both magnifies and challenges the fleeting nature of today’s visual culture.
