Our Mission: Inspiring New Perspectives
In a world that is increasingly divided and less tolerant of other worldviews, our opportunity lies in broadening perspectives through our work while promoting dialogue and exchange. Our exhibitions engage, entertain, and challenge our audiences. Through the curation of artists and their work, through our programs and communication, we invite our visitors and participants to open their minds, thereby inspiring new perspectives that contribute to a more conscious world.
Our Vision: A More Conscious World
We believe in the power of photography, art, and culture to enhance our ability to reflect on society. We believe that artists and their work offer valuable insights on current situations and topics and that their views should be shared with a wider audience in an inclusive way. Image by image, exhibit by exhibit, each of our artists, employees and guests should leave Fotografiska with new insights and perspectives on relevant topics. We are driven to cultivate a world of awareness through questioning, connection, and engagement. We believe in our ability to inspire progress and challenge norms.
Commitment to Equality and Respect
Fotografiska adheres to the General Equal Treatment Act, providing equal employment opportunities and accommodating individuals with disabilities. We maintain a work environment free from discrimination, harassment, and any form of workplace violence, respecting all protected characteristics under applicable law. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where diversity is not just acknowledged but actively strived towards.
Health, Safety, and Well-being
We prioritize the safety, health, and security of our environment. Fotografiska enforces strict health and safety rules, promotes a drug-free workplace, and is committed to responsible social media use that reflects our brand values and company policies. Employees follow a strict code of conduct of respect and mindfulness towards others. We aim to create an environment where honest feedback and criticism of our ways of working are encouraged and implemented as we develop our museum towards being increasingly better in the future. We are aware that norms are constantly shifting and aim to stay informed.
Open Communication
Fotografiska maintains an open-door policy, encouraging transparent communication and valuing employee feedback. We are committed to fair and impartial treatment, ensuring a positive work environment.
Our Community Proposition
Our aim is to create inclusive environments where diverse communities, narratives, and worldviews come together, contributing to the museum experience as a safer space, where a sense of acceptance, creativity, and belonging can thrive and flourish.
